Yes you read that right. $1 Million is up for grabs thanks to the latest Icon to join Fortnite. Mr Beast, the biggest YouTuber on the planet, famous for giving away unfathomable amounts of money has brought this approach to Fortnite Creative as his Icon Skin also launches this week.
Built by Atlas Creative, "Mr Beasts Extreme Survival Challenge" will take place on December 17 at 9AM (ET) to 12PM (ET), and the player with the highest score will win the $1 million.
This will be the biggest promotion that Fortnites Creative mode has ever received and set to brake records for the number of concurrent players and views on a Creative map. That is the Mr Beast effect. The last time Creative mode saw something close to this magnitude was the Fortnite World Cup back in 2019.
The Fortnite map will go live today, 13 December, giving players the chance to practice and get familiar with the map for a few days until the competition takes place. For those who aren't 'sweaty' and therefore can never participate in EPIC Games usual prize money tournaments that take place on the Battle Royale portion of the game, this Mr Beast Fortnite Creative tournament will provide the perfect place to compete for a lifechanging amount of money via a method that doesn't require as big of a skill gap.
There's also some smaller cosmetic awards up for grabs for the top 100,000 players that score the most points. Not as life changing as the prize for the #1 player, but something to look forward to none-the-less. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Fortnites Discover tab this week to get practicing!
